President Prabowo Launches Village Cooperative Program in Klaten

President of the Republic of Indonesia, Prabowo Subianto, visited Klaten, Central Java on Monday to inaugurate the Merah Putih Village Cooperative Program, a key initiative of his administration. The enthusiastic reception from residents, teachers, and schoolchildren lining the roads to greet him created an atmosphere of excitement as they cheered and called out his name during his motorcade. Wearing a brown suit and black peci (cap), President Prabowo interacted with the public by smiling, waving, and even handing out shirts as he made his way to Klaten. The launch ceremony took place in Bentangan Village, Wonosari District, marking the official start of the program. The Merah Putih Village Cooperative Program is integral to President Prabowo’s economic agenda as it aims to establish over 80,000 cooperatives nationwide by October 28, 2025. These cooperatives are designed to bolster rural economies, enhance farmers’ trade conditions, and generate new employment opportunities, all contributing to inclusive and sustainable development from the grassroots level.
