President Prabowo Subianto recently visited former President Joko Widodo at his residence in Solo to provide updates on his state visits to various countries, such as Saudi Arabia, Brazil, Belgium, and France. During the visit, Prabowo shared insights from his international tour, highlighting the significant breakthroughs achieved, particularly in relation to the long-awaited Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA) with the European Union.
Accompanied by Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka, Prabowo arrived at Jokowi’s residence and was warmly welcomed by Jokowi and First Lady Iriana. The meeting between the two leaders was described as cordial and relaxed, focusing on current issues and key highlights from Prabowo’s 15-day diplomatic tour.
Prabowo expressed gratitude for the positive outcomes of his diplomatic engagements, mentioning the potential trade opportunities with countries like Belarus. He emphasized Indonesia’s strong international position and commitment to neutrality and peaceful cooperation on the global stage. Despite joining economic groups like BRICS, the nation remains non-aligned and seeks friendly relations with all countries.
Prabowo, accompanied by State Secretary Minister Prasetyo Hadi, Foreign Minister Sugiono, and Deputy Minister of Communication and Digital Affairs Angga Raka Prabowo, reiterated Indonesia’s stance of respecting other nations’ sovereignty and refraining from interfering in their domestic affairs. This approach has been well-received internationally, reflecting Indonesia’s reputation as a neutral and welcoming country in the global community.
