At least 90 Palestinians were killed and 300 others were injured in the Israeli attack on a refugee camp in the Al-Mawasi area of southern Gaza.

Gaza media authorities stated that the attack was a “severe massacre” carried out by Israel. Moreover, Israel itself declared Al-Mawasi as one of the “safe zones”.

The Palestinian Authority (PA) accuses the United States of being responsible for the attack. The PA urges the international community to act promptly to stop Israel’s atrocities.

“The United States continues to violate international resolutions by continuously providing financial and military support for the colonization (of Israel), which continues to carry out bloody massacres against our people every day,” said Palestinian presidential spokesperson Nabil Abu Rudeineh.

Israel’s attacks on Gaza, which have been ongoing since October 7, 2023, have resulted in more than 38,300 Palestinians, mostly women and children, dead and more than 88,000 others injured.

Despite facing continuous international condemnation and UN Security Council resolutions instructing an immediate ceasefire, Israel has not stopped bombarding Gaza. (ant)
