The President of Indonesia, Prabowo Subianto, emphasized the importance of the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI) being ready to sacrifice their lives in defense of the nation and its people. During the Operational Troop Review and Military Honors Ceremony at Suparlan Field, Pusdiklatpassus Batujajar in West Java, Prabowo reiterated that the TNI is the “people’s army” and exists to serve and protect the people. He also urged newly appointed commanders to lead with integrity and treat their soldiers like their own children. Emphasizing the TNI’s role as the frontline defenders of Indonesia, Prabowo highlighted the importance of total people’s defense and defensive defense as the nation’s security strategy. The event also saw the appointment of General Tandyo Budi Revita as Deputy Commander of the TNI and the recognition of several individuals for their dedication and integrity. Furthermore, new TNI units, including various commands and brigades, were inaugurated and commissioned during the ceremony. The troop review showcased the strength of the TNI with over 27,000 personnel and various tactical vehicles and defense equipment units.
