President Prabowo Subianto received a warm reception during his official visit to Saudi Arabia on July 1, 2025. In a hotel lobby in Jeddah, Indonesian elementary school children greeted the President with excitement, waving flags and chanting, “Welcome, Mr. President!” The formal event quickly turned into a joyous and emotional gathering as President Prabowo engaged with the children, smiling and taking photos with them. One student, Arsad Hanfana Al-Syarabi, proudly introduced himself as the child of Indonesian Embassy staff in Jeddah. President Prabowo took a moment to encourage the children to excel in their studies before continuing with his visit.
The encounter also deeply touched members of the Indonesian community in Jeddah, such as Hanif Hasanuddin from the Muhammadiyah Special Branch (PCIM). Expressing gratitude for the President’s visit, Hanif shared his hopes for Indonesia’s future. Accompanied by several high-ranking Indonesian officials, President Prabowo’s visit fostered a strong bond with the Indonesian community abroad. Beyond being a diplomatic mission, the visit left a significant impact on the younger generation in Saudi Arabia.
